Music4good’s Inaugural Concert at Pantai Hospital Brings the Joy of Music to Patients and Families
Kuala Lumpur, November 1, 2024 — Music4Good, an inspiring new initiative dedicated to bringing music to underserved communities, held its inaugural concert at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, sponsored by InnoCSR. The event gathered patients, their families, and hospital staff in the hospital’s lobby for an hour-long concert, providing a beautiful reprieve and a moment of calm through the transformative power of live music.
A talented group of eight musicians, including two young music students, delivered captivating performances under the theme "Travel the World with Music," featuring classical compositions from around the globe. Pieces from Russia, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Korea, Italy, Austria, and Germany were brought to life, allowing the audience to experience a musical journey across cultures without ever leaving their seats.
Words of gratitude and encouragement were shared by Erica Lam, CEO of Pantai Hospital, Sam Yoonsuk Lee, CEO of InnoCSR, the corporate sponsor, and Dr. Hyungi Kim, Founder of Music4Good. Each speaker expressed appreciation for the healing impact of music, noting its unique ability to uplift spirits in difficult times.
“The entire team at Pantai Hospital is thrilled to host Music4Good's first concert and extend this music experience to our patients, staff, and visitors,” said Erica Lam.
This event, generously sponsored by InnoCSR, is part of Music4Good's mission to make the arts accessible to communities in need, particularly those with limited exposure to the arts. InnoCSR’s CEO, Sam Yoonsuk Lee, shared that supporting the concert aligns closely with his company’s dedication to meaningful social impact.
Dr. Hyungi Kim, internationally renowned violinist and founder of Music4Good, expressed her gratitude to the musicians and hospital team: “It is heartwarming to see everyone fully engaged in the experience. We hope to bring this level of connection and healing through music to more communities in the future.”
The concert left a lasting impression on attendees, who enjoyed the cultural diversity of the program and the calming presence of the performance. As Music4Good continues to grow, today’s concert marks the first of many opportunities to bring music to those who need it most.
